DJ Thrive

I have my brother Miguel to thank for introducing me to one of my great passions... Deejaying. I started playing as DJ Flow during my high school years and soon after I owned my first set of turntables! Everything I had learned up to this point had been self-taught, my brother's influence and watching other DJ's play.

Throughout my college years, I hardly had time to dedicate to music. Working full-time in my career field, concentrating in my studies, Information Systems and Systems & Operations Management, and being an active member of Cal State University Northridge's Latino Business Association and Management Information Systems Association, took most of my time. As a senior, I set myself to pursue an internship and decided to combine my two great passions... music and Information Systems. I began to submit my resume to every possible local radio station! I would like to thank POWER 106 for being the first radio station to get back to me the next day! That was truly one of my most grateful and exciting moments I've ever had! While interning at POWER, Mr. Choc advised me of Scratch Academy, where I learned the fundamentals of Deejaying! I graduated as one of the top students in my class and got to perform live on stage for artists such as DMC from Run-D.M.C. and The Egyptian Lover, as well as my peers and instructors.

After this experience, I couldn't wait to finish school and dedicate more time to music! And finally after years of persevering in my studies, I achieved my goal of graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. But unfortunately, due to unimagined circumstances, I had to put music on hold for two years. My life is looking better right now with God's help and the support of my family and friends. And so I'm back!! ... stronger and ready to Thrive! ... and hence the new name.

I have since then had the privilege to learn side by side with Dj E-man, Dj Felli Fel (POWER 106), Mr. Choc (World Famous Beat Junkies), Dj Rawn and Dj Hapa, Dj Hideo, Dj Shortee, Dj Faust, Dj Denkym (Scratch Academy) and for that I consider myself a very blessed person! I am very excited about many things coming together for me, thanks to DJ Boy Loco, the release of my CD in July '09, "Thrive Time" came about and was very successful!! I invite all of you to download my promotional CD!

My objective in life is to Thrive further in my passion by continuing to be on top of my game, challenging myself, and acquiring new experiences and accomplishments!
